As a co-operative that works with and through others, the RCC has a small team that is currently focused on the areas of the region’s economy that were initially identified as central to the Bega Valley’s circular transformation.
These areas of work include accelerating circular agriculture, fisheries and aquaculture, supporting existing and emerging circular businesses, initiating or expanding energy and waste minimisation projects, and engaging with the local community. Leading the design and construction of the National Circularity Centre is also a key focus.
As well as working on specific projects and initiatives, a large part of the team’s time is spent harnessing the expertise and enthusiasm of our partners and members to develop and implement the flagship projects and initiatives that are at the heart of the Bega Circular Valley Program.
As the program continues to grow, locally based specialists with expertise in specific areas of the Bega Valley’s future circular economy will be added to the team.
