As we start to transition the Bega Circular Valley to a circular economy, we’re also starting to share our journey – both the successes and the challenges.

We’ll continue to look for ways to share what we’re learning about circularity here in the Bega Valley and will share any stories that those efforts generate.

In recognition of our efforts to drive new forms of collaboration, in late 2024 the Bega Circular Valley program won the inaugural Australian Design Council Impact Award in recognition of its potential ‘to shape Australia’s design-led future across our economy, society, environment and culture’.

In late 2023 our plan to build the National Circularity centre ‘focused on the development of circular economies’ was announced on national media.​

Media reports highlighted the NSW state government’s $14 million funding commitment and Bega Group’s contribution of both $5 million in funding and the donation of the land for the Cox Architecture-designed building.
