Funded by the NSW Government and Bega Group, the National Centre for Circularity will be built by the The National Circularity Centre (NCC) is a vital part of our future vision for the Bega Circular Valley.

Currently scheduled to open by the end of 2026, this landmark initiative will act as a focal point for all the region’s circularity initiatives, as well as being an ideal way to educate the local community, and the broader Australian population, about circularity and the circular economy, and how it can transform society for the better.

The vision behind the NCC is to create an inclusive centre of edu- and eco-tourism designed to bring circularity to everyone, situated right in the heart of the Bega Valley.

As well as showcasing the Bega Valley’s ever-growing circular economy, the centre will showcase examples of circularity best practise from around the world – showing everyone who visits what’s possible if a more circular way of living is embraced, and inspiring other regions to go on their own circular journeys. It will also trace the source of much of our circularity knowledge back to the original inhabitants of the Bega Valley, the Djiringanj people.

Rich in data and real-world examples, visitors will be able to experience the circular future of clean energy, food production, land and water management, product design, tourism, community re-vitalisation, environmental regeneration, and more, in a state-of-the-art experience centre, where every resource is used to its full potential, and minimal waste and pollution is generated.

With immersive and interactive experiences of real circularity projects at every turn, the National Circularity Centre won’t just be a showcase of sustainability – it will be circular progress you can feel.

A HOME FOR THE BEGA VALLEY’S MULTI-GENERATIONAL CIRCULARITY PROGRAM

As well as being a world class circularity education centre, the NCC will also become the home for the Regional Circularity Co-operative and Bega Circular Valley program.

A place where we can house a library of circularity knowledge and expertise, run circularity workshops with our community, invite circular entrepreneurs to come and learn how to make their ideas become reality, and act as a circular meeting place for all those interested in playing their part in building a more circular future.
