We became involved in our first circularity pilot projects as the Regional Circularity Co-operative in 2021, and have been helping initiate a growing number of projects ever since.

Some of those initial projects we became involved with grew out of existing circularity efforts on some of the Bega Valley’s dairy farms or were existing circular business ideas like Ocean2Earth Australia that we have since helped expand.

At the moment, our project focus areas include circularity baselining, net-zero community energy, agriculture and aquaculture, resource reuse, circular manufacturing, habitat regeneration, circular education and circular tourism. We are also involved with a range of circularity and sustainability projects being implemented by Bega Group and have been leading efforts to build a National Circularity Centre in Bega.

A small selection of our current and emerging projects can be found below. Please note, that, because of the complex, interconnected nature of the circular transition – and resource limitations – we are unable to detail every project we are currently involved in.

As a co-operative, we are deliberately structured in a way that allows us to be flexible and nimble in how we run existing initiatives or bring new projects to fruition – and almost invariably partner with others to ensure every project is as robust as possible throughout its delivery.
